Posts and vacancies

Age limit
The age range is 18 to 22 years for most posts, given as date-of-birth windows. For Navik GD, you must be born between 1 November 2005 and 1 May 2009. Yantrik needs DOB between 1 May 2005 and 1 May 2009. OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST 5 years of relaxation.
Salary
Navik and Hygienist posts start at Level 3 (₹21,700 basic). Yantrik starts at Level 5 (₹29,200) plus ₹6,200 Yantrik pay, which makes it the better-paid entry if you have a diploma.
Selection process
- Stage I – computer-based exam of 100 questions in 1 hour, expected in early/mid November 2026. No negative marking. Pass marks: 40 (UR/EWS/OBC), 35 (SC/ST).
- Stage II – physical fitness test, adaptability test, documents and medical (end of February 2027).
- Stage III – final medicals and documents at INS Chilka.
- Stage IV – certificate verification with boards/universities.
