Selection process
Selection happens in three steps:
- Written CBT (100 marks, 2 hours): General Knowledge (50 MCQs) and English Composition (20 MCQs plus 30 marks of subjective writing). You need 33% in each subject and 40% overall. Wrong MCQs cost 1/4 mark.
- Computer Proficiency Test (qualifying): a spreadsheet test and English typing at 30 words per minute.
- Checking of original documents / interaction.
The final merit is based only on written exam marks. So the typing test is just a hurdle – clear it, but put most of your energy into GK and English.
