When is the UCO Bank Apprentice exam?

The online exam is on 7 November 2026 at 11:00 AM.

What is the stipend?

₹16,650 per month – ₹10,500 from UCO Bank and ₹6,150 from the government via DBT.

Is the local language test compulsory?

Yes, unless your Class 10 or 12 marksheet shows you studied that state's local language.

Bank apprenticeships have become a popular way to get a foot in the door, and UCO Bank has just opened 530 apprentice seats across 31 states and UTs. You get a ₹16,650 monthly stipend for one year, and the experience counts when you later sit for bank clerk and PO exams.

Registration started on 14 October and the last date is 29 October 2026. The online exam is on 7 November 2026 – just nine days after the form closes.

State-wise seats

West Bengal has the most seats (86), followed by Uttar Pradesh (45), Odisha (41), Rajasthan (37), Bihar (34) and Maharashtra (32). You apply for one state and must know its local language.

Eligibility

  • Graduation in any discipline, completed on or after 1 April 2022
  • Age 20 to 28 years as on 1 October 2026 (SC/ST 5 years, OBC 3 years, PwBD 10–15 years relaxation)
  • You should not already have one year or more of work experience after graduation
  • Anyone who has done or is doing an apprenticeship elsewhere cannot apply

Exam pattern

The online test has 100 questions of 1 mark each in 60 minutes – 25 each from General/Financial Awareness, English, Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, and Quant. You need 40 marks (35 for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) to qualify.

After the exam, there is a local language test during document verification. If you studied that language in Class 10 or 12, your marksheet can exempt you.

How to apply – two steps

  1. Register on the NATS portal and apply for the UCO Bank apprenticeship there.
  2. You will get a BFSI SSC link on your registered email. Use it to complete the detailed form and pay the fee.

Fee is ₹800 for General/EWS/OBC men, ₹600 for women and transgender candidates in those categories, and ₹200 for SC/ST/PwBD (plus GST).

Do the NATS step early. Many candidates finish NATS on the last day and never receive the second link in time.

This is a one-year apprenticeship, not a permanent bank job. Read the official UCO Bank notice before applying.
