Quick look at the exam pattern
PET is an offline OMR paper of 100 questions for 100 marks in 2 hours, with 0.25 marks deducted for every wrong answer. History, geography, polity, economy, science, arithmetic, Hindi, English and reasoning carry 5 questions each. Current affairs, general awareness, Hindi unseen passages, graph analysis and table analysis carry 10 questions each.
A last-minute tip: the graph, table and passage questions are 30 marks of pure reading and calculation. Do them carefully and early – many candidates lose easy marks there by rushing.
PET score is now required for most UPSSSC Group C jobs, including the Inter Level 1784 posts and Yuva Kalyan Adhikari 412 posts, so treat this paper seriously.
Always follow the instructions printed on your admit card. This page will be updated with the answer key once released.
